Driver - Parts

JOB SUMMARY

Delivers and picks up parts and equipment for the Bob Johnson Imports dealerships.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

*     Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, wholesale accounts, vendors, and satellite stores.  

*     Checks with the parts manager, wholesale representative, inventory control administrator, parts counter persons, or shipping and receiving clerk before                 leaving to coordinate any pick ups or deliveries.

*     Verifies that part numbers match invoices for delivery and pick up.  

*     Collects check, cash, and paperwork from customers, wholesale accounts, and vendors.

*     Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick ups.  Request recipients signature on each delivery invoice.

*     Unloads truck after every shift.  Turns in all paperwork and undelivered parts after every shift.

*      Handles basic maintenance of the truck, keeping work trucks clean, and making sure oil changes

        and NYS inspections are brought in for service.

*      Help with stocking and posting orders when they arrive to expedite delivery to wholesale accounts.

*      Help maintain a professional appearance of the parts department.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or GED.

· Valid driver's license and a good driving record

· Prior Auto Parts experience preferred but not required

· Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

· Dependable with a good work ethic

· Must pass pre-employment testing to include MVR

Hours are from 8am-4pm Monday - Friday
