Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the slicing, stuffing, packaging and boxing of sausage products manually or by mechanical means to produce both work in process and finished goods products. This job may include the loading, unloading of materials, packaging and finished goods products from racks or pallets.
Accountabilities
1. Adhering to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), package, stuff or slice, raw materials to designated weights on an individual package or case weight basis.
2. Meet production performance requirements in a fast paced work environment
3. Transfers finished products and raw materials to identified location in the plant/warehouse or on production line. .
4. Adhere to all safety requirements including the wearing of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as prescribed for each work activity or job.
5. Follows all SQF principles pertinent to the position as specified by the SQF Practioner.
6. All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Product inspection, palletizing, pushing tubs, stacking boxes, and other production tasks
- Working and handling raw meat
- Handling finished product
- Must be 18 years old
- Prior food manufacturing experience prefered, but not required. We will provide on the job training.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, reach, and use hands. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
