Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Garage Door Installer with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in both commercial and residential installations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This is a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and replace garage doors for both commercial and residential properties.
- Perform all aspects of garage door installation, including assembling, measuring, and securing garage doors, tracks, openers, and hardware.
- Inspect and troubleshoot existing garage door systems, identifying and repairing issues such as broken springs, cables, and motors.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of garage door products and industry trends.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations during all installations.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions, offering product recommendations, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all job sites.
- Accurately complete all paperwork, including work orders, service reports, and time logs.
- Drive company vehicles to and from job sites while ensuring safe driving practices.
Qualifications:
- Professional experience as a garage door installer preferred, proven track record in both residential and commercial installations a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of garage door systems, openers, and components
- MUST have the ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools, and to operate installation equipment safely.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and repair garage door systems effectively.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment (up to 75 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality craftsmanship.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
