Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-K Lead Teacher to join our team. As a Pre-K Lead Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing a nurturing and educational environment for young children. Your responsibilities will include creating engaging lesson plans, implementing age-appropriate activities, and fostering the social and intellectual development of each child.
Duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of preschool-aged children
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Provide individualized attention to each child, addressing their unique needs and interests
- Utilize various teaching methods and resources to enhance learning experiences
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Monitor and assess each child's progress, identifying areas for improvement or additional support
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and coordinate classroom activities and events
- Completion of all paperwork as required by program
- Implement behavior management strategies to ensure a positive and respectful classroom environment
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum objectives
- Proficiency in implementing literacy education strategies
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques appropriate for young children
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children
