Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment using proper cleaning techniques and sanitizing procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of all dishwashing stations, including sinks, counters, and storage areas
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and ensuring dining areas are tidy and welcoming
- Follow food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with sanitation standards
- Operate dishwashing machinery safely and efficiently while adhering to kitchen health and safety standards
- Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, trays, or boxes with proper technique to prevent injury
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitizing procedures within a restaurant environment
- Experience with dishwashing equipment and manual cleaning methods in a commercial kitchen setting
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during busy service hours
- Basic food handling skills with an understanding of hygiene standards in food service environments
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation such as dishwashers, sinks, and cleaning tools
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain a clean work area throughout shifts
- Previous experience is a plus but not required
Pay: From $15.15 per hour
