The Contracts Analyst is an essential member of Boardwalk’s Legal Department, working with attorneys and internal clients on a wide variety of legal matters. Candidates must work well in a team environment. Representative duties include:

We are currently looking for a Contracts Analyst for our Houston, TX office.
Position Description
The Contracts Analyst is an essential member of Boardwalk’s Legal Department, working with attorneys and internal clients on a wide variety of legal matters. Candidates must work well in a team environment. Representative duties include:
- Drafting and Reviewing: preparing and revising/redlining contracts and analyzing terms and conditions to identify potential risks for the company or compliance issues, e.g.:
- confidentiality agreements
- service agreements
- scope of work agreements
- purchase order terms and conditions
- purchase and sale agreements
- Negotiation: negotiating terms and conditions with contractors and suppliers to secure beneficial agreements
- Compliance: ensuring contracts meet legal and regulatory requirements as well as internal company policies
- Training: providing training on legal procedures, best practices, and company policies to internal stakeholders/clients
- Onboarding: assisting with contractor qualification and onboarding, as necessary
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience working with contracts
- Strong aptitude in reviewing and redlining contracts
- Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
- Strong understanding of confidentiality principles and business relationships
- Experience with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
- Experience in the construction, engineering, or pipeline industries is preferred
- Familiarity with litigation process / management is preferred
- Two-year applicable associate degree in a technical field or Bachelor’s Degree
- Paralegal Certification
