We are currently looking for a Mechanical Analyst/Mechanical Analyst Senior for our Shreveport, LA office.

 POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This position will optimize the performance of Boardwalk’s reciprocating engines by providing engine/compressor mechanical analysis, along with emissions compliance testing services.  This information will be provided to the Regional Compressor Leaders and station personnel to improve the reliability and efficiency of the compressor stations. Physical requirements of the role include the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs a minimum of 50 ft. in order to transport testing equipment from vehicle upstairs into the engine room. Also, must endure a hot, humid and noisy working environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

• Mechanical experience working on compressor station engines and compressors
• Mechanical knowledge of 2 and 4-stroke, slow and high-speed engine and compressors
• Good troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and comprehend manufacturer’s equipment manuals
• Strong computer skills, Word, Excel and familiarity with CMMS system for maintenance documentation. 
• Ability to write clear detailed engine and emissions test reports
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision, able to maintain good working relationships with internal company customers
• Must have valid Driver’s License

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

• 5 years of Mechanical experience with natural gas engines and compressors 
• Previous experience with engine analyzers, emissions testing equipment and Spectrum vibration analysis, Ultrasonic and Thermography technologies
• Experience with pneumatic and electronic controls
• Air/Fuel ratio control experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

• Associate Degree
