Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of coffee beverages such as Lattes & Espressos and food items such as breakfast burritos and panini sandwiches with precision, following established recipes and standards.
- Operate POS systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing any questions or special requests with enthusiasm.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling, beverage prep stations, and seating areas, adhering to food safety standards.
- Handle cash transactions with accuracy, processing payments quickly while managing cash handling procedures responsibly.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, supporting the café’s overall food safety and quality standards.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality or safety.
Skills
- Basic experience in food service or café environments with barista experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of beverage service techniques and non-alcoholic drink preparation.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and active listening abilities.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate processing of transactions.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
