What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interim Financial Services Coordinator position at Board of Education?
Summary: Onsted Community Schools is seeking an Interim Financial Services Coordinator. This position will assist in overseeing the district’s fiscal functions and assist in training while we transition roles within the Business Office. This includes but is not limited to financial analysis, internal and external reporting, budgeting, financial accounting, financial forecasting, contract administration, and fringe benefits.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be knowledgable in payroll accounting
2. Must have a background and experience in general and computer accounting
3. Must be knowledgeable in the areas of State and Federal reporting
4. Must be able to keep information confidential
5. Must be able to work independently
6. School business experience required
7. Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting required
8. Must have good interpersonal relationships with the staff and the public
REPORTS TO: Superintendent of Schools
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for all district accounts
2. Responsible for all district financial reports
3. Responsible for transportation reports
4. Responsible for attending Board meetings and Finance Committee meetings
5. Responsible for Federal programs
6. Responsible for all staff contracts
7. Responsible for all insurance records
8. Responsible for all MIOSHA reports
9. Responsible for all payroll reports
10. Responsible for sick day records
11. Responsible for compiling statistical information
12. Responsible for working with the negotiations process and employee groups
13. Responsible for other duties assigned by the Superintendent and/or Board of Education
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Temporary - Contract Negotiable
