Overview:

The DevOPS Management SME has responsibility for managing the relationship with the Infrastructure hosting partner. The DevOPS Management SME will review, approve and manage the changes, projects and tasks impacting all the Non-Oracle Enterprise Applications with the hosting provider. This position will ensure that the provider is maintaining the Boar’s Head systems within the policies, standards and SLAs agreed upon with the provider. The DevOPS Management SME will gather requirements from the PMs and RMs for projects that have requirements for the Non-Oracle applications and provide the costs, timelines and projections.

Job Description:

Primary and Essential Functions of this position:


  • Review application (Non-Oracle) performance SLAs (Application response, Application uptime)
  • Build automation, continues development and integration support
  • Review and approve application (Non-Oracle) level changes
  • Create and manage application requirements
  • Review Projects and Tacticals application requirements
  • Review and maintain application Policies and Standards
  • Provide application (Non-Oracle) support oversight
  • License compliance
  • Maintain and administer Non-Oracle Applications in cloud infrastructure (i.e. Azure, AWS, etc.)
  • Design, implement and manage containerized workloads using Oracle Kubernetes engine(OKE)
  • Design and Implement end to end CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab CI/CD
  • Implement Infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or equivalent tools.
  • Automate provisioning of OCI services (VCN, OKE, Load Balancers, Object Storage.
  • Manage configuration management tools and scripting ( Bash, Python etc.)
  • Implement logging and monitoring solutions for Kubernetes workloads.
  • Configure alert, dashboard, and performance metrics.
  • Configure application performance monitoring , infrastructure monitoring and Kubernetes monitoring
  • Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager’s discretion.


Educational And/or Experience


  • Associates degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience. Bachelors degree desired.
  • Minimum of 3-6 years experience in IT application security administration.
  • Proven experience administering security for large-scale business applications in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with the development and application of IT security policies and procedures.
  • Experience with Enterprise Applications that include but not limited to Docker, Kubernetes, GoAnywhere, DotCMS, Tyk, ELK, Kafka, Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket, Clickhouse, Flink, and Loftware
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and scripting languages that include but not limited to Bash, Ansible, Perl, Python.
  • Experience of virtualization technologies (i.e. VMWare, OVM, etc.).
  • Experience on Cloud Platforms (i.e. Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
  • Demonstrated experience on Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience using network shares (i.e. NFS, CIFs etc.)
  • Experience with networking protocols that include but not limited to DNS, SMTP, SSH, SSL, FTP, SCP, etc.
  • Experience using server monitoring tools that include but not limited to Nagios, Icinga, Solarwinds, OEM.
  • Database queries experience in Oracle PL/SQL and Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with XML schema, SOAP interface definitions, and messaging models
  • Understanding customer requirements and project KPIs
  • Managing stakeholders and external interfaces
  • Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
  • Troubleshooting techniques and fixing the code bugs
  • Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage
  • Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible
  • Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
  • Incidence management and root cause analysis
  • Coordination and communication within the team and with customers
  • Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)
  • Serve as technical SME for OCI OKE and CI/CD best practices.
  • Experience working with Dynatrace Observability and Monitoring too
  • Monitoring and measuring customer experience and KPIs
  • Managing periodic reporting on the progress to the management and the customer
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office products especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Must have exceptional organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to fully document security configurations and procedures.
  • Ability to multi task, prioritize work loads and complete required tasks in a timely fashion to meet required implementations.
