Overview Of Role
Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, you will be a member of the Testing team within Product Development. The BOA Test Laboratory and the Testing Team provide crucial support to Product Development’s goals in developing, improving and sustaining the highest quality products. You will work closely with different teams around the department and fulfill test requests for a variety of BOA standard and non-standard testing practices. You will also assist in the execution of testing needs for Development, Field Testing, Product Qualification Programs, and any needs of the Testing Laboratory itself.

Overview Of Role

Core Responsibilities
- Reflect and role model BOA’s vision, values and Leadership Model and demonstrate passion for our mission across the Product Development team and rest of the organization
- Work with Engineers to perform standard strength/performance tests per existing testing standards and processes
- Complete accurate testing results reports and maintain electronic file organization
- Help develop testing and documentation methods
- Support the maintenance and organization of the Testing Laboratory
- Conduct basic machining tasks under direct supervision of the Shop Supervisor
- Help with fixture design and assembly
- Help with new equipment procurement, existing equipment maintenance and the replacement of standard tools as needed
- Ensure tools and fixtures are organized and easy to find
- Continuously seek out opportunities for growth, both personally and professionally
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Applications
- Proficiency with hand tools and general machining equipment
- Familiarity with general measurement practices using calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, etc.
- Desire to use your mechanical aptitude to build a deep understanding of our products
- Associate degree in a related field (Engineering Technology)
- Knowledge or experience with mechanical laboratory equipment (tensile test frame, environmental chamber, etc)
- CAD proficiency (we use OnShape)
- Knowledge of processes for plastic injection molding and small metal parts manufacturing
- Understanding of basic statistical analysis
- Budgeted salary range: $55,000 - $66,200
- We will determine salary based on skills and experience in relation to the function of the role, as well as equity to any other employees with similar experience in the same or similar role
- This role is also eligible for a 10% annual bonus
