Position Summary
The Assistant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, leading staff, maintaining service standards, and ensuring a positive experience for every guest.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily restaurant operations
- Supervise and support front-of-house and/or back-of-house staff
- Train, coach, and motivate team members
- Ensure excellent customer service and resolve guest concerns professionally
- Help manage scheduling, labor, and shift coverage
- Monitor food quality, cleanliness, and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist with inventory, ordering, and cost control
- Open and close the restaurant as needed
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or hospitality management experience required
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service abilities
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer and POS system knowledge preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25–50 lbs.
