What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Technical Sales Specialist position at BO-and-Company?
Reports to: General Manager
Location: Remote within the United States. Ready access to a North Carolina warehouse location is strongly preferred.
ABOUT THE COMPANY
Our client is an innovative manufacturer specializing in nanofiber filter media for the filtration industry, backed by a long-established international group operating across multiple sectors. The company brings next-generation media technology to demanding industrial and commercial filtration applications and is now expanding its presence in North America. This is a confidential search. The company name and full details will be shared with shortlisted candidates.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior Technical Sales Specialist to own and grow the filtration business across North America. This is a high-ownership role for a self-starter who can run the full commercial cycle independently, from prospecting and technical consultation to closing and account growth, while drawing on the engineering and product teams when needed. You will be the face of the company in the region: translating advanced nanofiber technology into clear customer value, building durable relationships, and turning market knowledge into revenue. You will report directly to the General Manager and operate with significant autonomy and accountability for your territory.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Own the end-to-end sales cycle for filtration products in North America, from lead generation and qualification through technical consultation, proposal, negotiation, and close.
- Act as the primary technical and commercial point of contact for clients, converting complex filtration requirements into tailored, credible solutions.
- Build and grow a pipeline of new accounts while deepening relationships with existing customers to secure long-term partnerships.
- Read the market independently: track filtration industry trends, competitor moves, and shifting customer needs, and feed actionable insight back into product and pricing decisions.
- Coordinate with engineering, product development, and project teams to deliver solutions, resolve technical questions, and shape product improvements from real customer feedback.
- Manage the North Carolina warehouse relationship for your accounts, ensuring availability, accurate logistics, and reliable fulfillment.
- Prepare and present clear sales forecasts, pipeline reviews, and KPI reporting directly to the General Manager.
- Own post-sale follow-through, ensuring successful implementation, customer satisfaction, and repeat business.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Direct sales experience in the filtration industry is essential. This is the single most important qualification, and applications without it are unlikely to advance.
- A minimum of 7 years of B2B technical or industrial sales experience, including at least 3 years selling filtration or filter media products.
- A proven, demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a technical or industrial field.
- The ability to work fully independently, set your own priorities, and drive results without close supervision, while collaborating well with cross-functional teams when needed.
- Strong technical aptitude: able to understand filtration performance, specifications, and applications, and communicate them clearly to both engineers and buyers.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organization and time management, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities at once.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Willingness and ability to travel across the territory as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Fluency in English is required. Additional languages are a plus.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
WHAT IS OFFERED
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience, plus a performance-based commission structure.
- Company vehicle provided for business use.
- Travel and related business expenses fully covered.
- Corporate benefits, including health insurance and retirement plan options.
- A remote-first setup with the autonomy to own your territory and build the North American market for a growing, technology-driven manufacturer.
