Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Business Continuity/Recovery to join our Resiliency Execution team. This role is in Pittsburgh, PA.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Provide executive-level communication on resiliency objectives, progress, and outcomes to senior management and governance forums.
- Partner with Resiliency Leads to validate and maintain service taxonomy and alignment to POM. Lead impact analyses to identify critical functions, recovery priorities, and dependencies across applications, locations and third parties.
- Support platforms and hubs in developing, updating, and maintaining Business Continuity Plans (BCP), Disaster Recovery (DR) plans, and crisis management procedures. Define and document recovery strategies, and where needed, alternate procedures, for dependencies.
- Design and facilitate resiliency exercises including tabletop sessions, simulations, and live failover tests. Track remediation of issues identified during testing and ensure plans are updated accordingly.
- The candidate will be involved in multiple efforts including the creation and maintenance of recovery and resolution plans for all services within POM, where collaboration across various lines of business within the firm is needed, to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Lead coordination of information flow and communication during major incidents.
- Execute on actions and deliver change related to regulatory remediation initiatives, including embedding into BAU processes, policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in cross-functional teams | Relationship building
- Facilitate ongoing training and development initiatives to ensure team members are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to sustain process improvements.
- Drive innovation by researching and applying emerging trends and technologies to business processes, maintaining BNY's competitive advantage in the industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Advanced degree or relevant certifications in process improvement methodologies preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience within the financial services industry
- Experience in Operations, Business Analysis, or Technology preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to develop and implement strategic solutions.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills with a focus on execution; Business insight | Strong knowledge of financial services, Regulatory and risk acumen
- Proficiency in process improvement methodologies and tools, driving innovation and operational excellence.
