Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package, which may include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents. Eligible employees also may receive other benefits (including various paid time off benefits, such as vacation and sick time), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, the employee will be in an “at will” position and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payments or compensation programs) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
- POSITION SUMMARY:** The Specialist, Fund/Client Accounting Representative is a crucial role within the Accounting Services job function, tasked with ensuring accurate and timely processing of fund and client accounting activities. This position supports BNY's commitment to excellence by upholding the organization's principles of integrity and collaboration, contributing to strategic pillars such as operational efficiency and client satisfaction. As part of the Accounting Services job family, this role focuses on delivering precise financial data and analysis that meet client needs and regulatory requirements. **PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:** - Ensure accurate and timely processing of fund accounting activities by applying deep knowledge in accounting principles and practices. - Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and enhance process efficiencies, demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and communication. - Conduct thorough analyses of financial data, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, thereby supporting the integrity of financial reporting. - Maintain up-to-date records and documentation to support audits and regulatory reviews, showcasing meticulous attention to detail. - Assist in the development and implementation of accounting best practices and process improvements to elevate service quality. - Provide expert guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. **EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:** - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. - Professional certifications such as CPA or CFA are advantageous but not required. **EXPERIENCE:** 1-3 years of experience. **SKILLS:** - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure accurate financial data processing. - Excellent communication abilities to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and team members. - Proficiency in accounting software and tools, enabling efficient and precise financial operations.
