JOB DESCRIPTION
The Bank of New York Mellon seeks Senior Vice President, Business Analysis in New York, NY, to provide technical expertise for a specific domain within a line of business. Develop technical design, test plans, and user documentation. Perform implementation/conversion strategy planning and implementation. Coordinate scope and change throughout the initiative utilizing formal change control and requirements traceability. Serve in a cross-program role to ensure quality of the deliverables within their areas of expertise and drive innovation and strategic solutions within global, mission-critical, large-scale programs. Elicit, challenge, and prioritize requirements, translate into functional design and use case models. Coordinate the project scope, objectives, constraints and assumptions for a large, strategic, multi-year program. Gather and analyze information and provide recommendations to address strategic business objectives that span multiple, global business and technology areas. Participate in industry forums and keeps current on domain knowledge for their specific business and application areas of expertise. Apply experiences with existing software and/or system development process to define and collect metrics and develop better process to be used in the future. Influence software and/or systems development process improvement initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration or a related field, and ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in a related IT occupation. Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience with each of the following: Using Agile and Waterfall methodologies to interact with business and project teams to collect business and functional requirements for data transformation and data management; Ensuring delivery of proposed data structure in the target reporting platform by collaborating with designers and developers to identify process changes as per the documented requirements and mapping specifications; Collaborating with testing team in creation and review of test cases, execution of test cases, documentation of test results to get approvals for technical and business validations; Performing analysis of datasets, building accurate data maps, conducting regular data validation, communicating database changes to downstream users, and relaying data users' requirements; Producing data building blocks, data models, and data flows for varying client demands including dimensional data, data feeds, dashboard reporting, and data science to conduct research and exploration; and Collaborating with project stakeholders includes project managers, business sponsors, application teams for implementation of project requirements.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary/range for this position is expected to be $215,250.00 - $228,000.00 per year at the commencement of employment. Base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will, and the Company reserves the right to modify the base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
