Job Summary

BNY is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join the Execution Services Platform, supporting front office trading initiatives across Equities and Fixed Income. This role is focused on driving requirements, managing OMS implementations, and acting as a key liaison between business stakeholders, trading desks, and external vendors.

This role is based in New York, NY with an onsite expectation of 4 days per week. The position supports a high-priority, business-critical initiative within a global trading technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Partner with traders, clients, and internal stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed business and system requirements for OMS and trading platforms.
• OMS Implementation & Integration: Lead and support implementation and integration efforts across Order Management Systems (OMS) and Execution Management Systems (EMS), ensuring alignment with business needs.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between business users, product teams, engineering, and third-party vendors to translate requirements into actionable deliverables.
• Vendor Coordination: Work closely with external vendors to design, test, and deploy trading system enhancements, ensuring timelines and expectations are clearly defined and met.
• Trade Workflow Expertise: Apply deep understanding of end-to-end trade lifecycle across Equities and/or Fixed Income to support system enhancements and business initiatives.
• Project & Delivery Management: Manage project timelines, priorities, and deliverables using Agile methodologies (JIRA, Scrum), ensuring successful execution across multiple initiatives.
• Testing & Validation: Oversee system testing efforts, validate functionality, and present solutions back to business stakeholders prior to deployment.
• Team Leadership: Provide guidance and oversight to junior analysts or project resources while contributing to broader team objectives.
  
  

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in financial services, with strong exposure to front office trading environments
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst supporting OMS platforms (e.g., FlexTrade, Charles River, Aladdin, Fidessa, TS Imagine)
• Strong knowledge of Equities and/or Fixed Income products and trade lifecycle
• Hands-on experience with OMS implementations, migrations, and system integrations
• Deep understanding of FIX protocol and trading system connectivity
• Experience managing projects and coordinating across business, product, engineering, and vendor teams
• Strong experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Scrum
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interface directly with traders and senior stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree required
  
  

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with leading financial institutions such as asset managers, custodians, or wealth platforms
• Exposure to trading venues such as Tradeweb, MarketAxess, or Bloomberg
• Experience managing or leading small teams
• Familiarity with trade and market data management (SQL/database exposure)
• Background in both buy-side and sell-side environments
