Job Summary:

Lead-level Fund / Client Accounting role supporting Daily NAV Production for mutual funds. This position joins the production team in Everett, MA and serves as a senior individual contributor with sign-off authority on NAVs, reconciliations, and reporting outputs. The role plays a critical hands-on leadership function — owning data quality, identifying issues, making judgment calls in high-pressure situations, and ensuring accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance across complex fund structures in a high-volume environment. Schedule is 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM EST.

Key Responsibilities:

• NAV Production & Fund Accounting: Own and sign off on daily accounting and NAV production activities including NAV construction, validation, review, dissemination, and reporting for small- to medium-complexity mutual funds
• Data Ownership & Issue Management: Act as point person for reviewing fund data, identifying breaks or anomalies, determining root cause, and making judgment calls on resolution paths in time-sensitive production cycles
• Client & Data Reporting: Oversee reporting and verification of mutual fund data to clients, internal partners, and database providers; ensure accuracy of surveys, worksheets, and mutual fund database updates
• Financial Reconciliation & Statements: Review and approve reconciliations across holdings, accruals, trades, and cash balances; validate financial statements and tax reporting outputs prior to release
• Team Leadership & Support: Provide day-to-day guidance and technical leadership to junior team members, support inquiry management and regulatory reporting, and serve as a hands-on resource within a rebuilding production team
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
• 5 years of experience in fund accounting, Daily NAV production, or financial operations
• Demonstrated ability to act as a reviewer / approver with ownership of deliverables and sign-off responsibility
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with proven experience diagnosing and resolving complex data or accounting issues
• Comfortable operating in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments and making independent judgment calls
• Flexible, hands-on working style with willingness to “get into the details” when needed
  
  

Preferred Experience:

• Prior lead or senior-level experience within Daily NAV production or mutual fund accounting teams
• Experience with Canoe Intelligence and/or other fund accounting and financial data platforms
• Exposure to regulatory reporting and specialized fund accounting functions
• Background working in understaffed or transforming teams requiring process ownership and stability
