In this role, you will analyze and manage metadata, collaborate with technical and business stakeholders, perform root cause analysis on data issues, and contribute to the development of reporting dashboards and metrics. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data across systems and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze, query, and manipulate data based on defined business rules and procedures
- Interpret and apply internal Data Management policies to ensure processes and documentation align with corporate standards
- Review and interpret logical and conceptual data models; work with technology teams to validate proper implementation in metadata tools
- Collaborate with source system data owners to understand and document data usage, definitions, limitations, and relationships to other datasets
- Work under tight deadlines and adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment while ensuring the quality and timeliness of all outputs
- Support the design and requirements gathering for dashboards and reporting to track key data quality metrics
- Perform root cause analysis for data-related errors; assess the scope, determine the complexity, and propose remediation steps
- Ensure strict adherence to data quality standards and best practices
- Prepare and deliver ad-hoc reports as requested by management or senior leadership
- Accurately respond to data-related inquiries and ensure findings are validated before sharing with relevant stakeholders
- Strong hands-on experience in Data Management, Metadata Analysis, and Data Governance
- Experience with data quality assessments and implementation of data controls
- Excellent SQL/Excel skills; ability to analyze and manipulate data efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and high standards for accuracy and quality of work
- Effective oral and written communication skills, especially for compliance-related documentation
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage workload in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong organizational, documentation, and presentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields (Other degrees considered with relevant experience and training)
- Experience in banking, financial services, auditing, or compliance functions
- Familiarity with data governance tools and issue management systems
- Understanding of logical and conceptual data models
- Exposure to big data processes and how large datasets are structured and managed
- Prior experience in reporting/dashboard design for data metrics tracking
- Candidates should be comfortable adapting to new tools and receiving training where necessary
