Job Summary:
We are seeking Investment Service Operation Analysts to join a Middle Office team supporting investment management clients within a leading global financial services organization. This role provides hands-on exposure to the investment trade lifecycle, including trade processing and settlement, reconciliations, exception management, reporting, and communication with brokers, custodians, and clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to build experience within financial services. Prior financial industry experience is not required, and comprehensive training will be provided.
These are 12-month contract opportunities based in Pittsburgh, PA with an expectation of four days onsite per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Trade Processing: Receive client trade files, process daily transactions, and ensure trades are accurately instructed to the market.
Trade Settlement: Work with brokers, custodians, and internal teams to monitor settlements and research and resolve exceptions or failing trades.
Reconciliations: Support cash, asset, trade matching, and market value reconciliations while investigating and resolving breaks.
Client Support: Communicate with clients and external partners to answer questions, gather information, and resolve straightforward inquiries.
Data & Exception Management: Maintain trade and reference data, support trade enrichment, and identify and escalate potential issues when necessary.
Reporting: Assist with client reporting, portfolio valuation processes, cash reporting, and other daily or monthly operational deliverables.
Global Operations: Collaborate with international teams through a follow-the-sun operating model to ensure continuous trade support.
Qualifications:
1–2 years of professional experience preferred; strong entry-level candidates will be considered
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with daily deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Client-first mentality with strong judgment and problem-solving skills
Ability to learn complex processes and become increasingly independent
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required
Preferred Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, or a related field
Financial services, investment operations, accounting support, or mutual fund experience
Microsoft Excel and broader Microsoft Office proficiency
Experience communicating with clients, brokers, custodians, or other external partners
Exposure to AI or other tools used to improve productivity and efficiency
