Job Summary:
This role sits within BNY’s Cash Management team and is responsible for supporting daily fund movement activities with precision and control. The Associate will process client cash activity including subscriptions, redemptions, and fund transfers, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to strict operational controls. This is a high-volume, detail-heavy environment with structured workflows, offshore team coordination, and exposure to complex financial products. 2–3 months of ramp-up training is expected, with further development over time as product knowledge deepens.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cash Processing & Data Accuracy – Execute daily subscription/redemption entries, fund transfers, and reconciliations with zero-tolerance for error; ensure high-quality data entry as cash movements are triggered directly from system inputs.
- Workflow Ownership & Team Coordination – Allocate workload across a team of four and collaborate with offshore partners for Sun-to-Sun operational coverage; step in to review, approve, or support tasks as needed.
- Exception Handling & Review Controls – Conduct 4-eye checks within delegated monetary thresholds, investigate discrepancies, and escalate issues appropriately to maintain internal risk and compliance standards.
- Stakeholder Communication – Partner with internal functions such as client service, operations, and risk teams while proactively coordinating resolutions with external clients or custodians.
- Process Improvement & Product Exposure – Contribute to checklist optimization, system enhancements, and continuous-improvement initiatives while growing product knowledge across equity and other asset types.
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience in banking operations, fund administration, or cash management
- Proven data entry accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS, and ideally MACROS
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage high-volume tasks against strict deadlines and checklists
Preferred Experience:
- Experience using Aladdin or similar order management/cash processing systems
- Exposure to financial services or asset management operations
- Familiarity working with offshore or split-shift operational teams
