What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director, Fund Finance Lending position at BNY External Career Site?
We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director to join our Credit Services team. This role is located in New York, NY.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Leads structuring and underwriting of loan commitments primarily to unregulated Funds managed by Financial Sponsors. Lending commitments include both Capital Call (Subscription Finance) Facilities, BDC exposures, as well as facilities with direct recourse to Fund portfolios
Drafts terms sheets and reviews credit documentation
Monitors existing credit portfolios, including investor exposure concentrations, loan reviews
Responsible for direct credit coverage of key clients and relationship leads to understand and assess credit needs; generates new business opportunities for the bank such as new loans
Champions strategy expansion opportunities and leads team initiatives to develop related know-how
Identifies and helps implement efficiency and improvement projects for the Lending team
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. MBA is preferred
- 12 years of experience in a corporate and/or investment banking capacity, with 3 years related to Capital Call, NAV, or Structured Finance; experience in risk analysis
- Leadership experience overseeing and educating junior team talent preferred
- Excellent credit analysis and financial modelling skills
- Experience in reviewing, analyzing and negotiating credit documentation
- Ability to communicate skillfully and effectively with involved stakeholders
- Robust analytical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and attentiveness to detail
