Job Summary

BNY is seeking a Client Services Associate to support high-volume client servicing within Treasury Services. This role serves as the primary point of contact for daily client inquiries, delivering timely, accurate, and professional responses while meeting established service level agreements and productivity standards.

The role provides Level 1 operational and client support, ensuring routine issues are resolved efficiently and complex matters are escalated appropriately. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong client focus, operational discipline, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced banking environment.

The position is based in Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL, operating under a hybrid model (3 days onsite / 2 days remote). Working hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM ET.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Inquiry Management: Serve as the first point of contact for client inquiries related to Treasury Services products, payments, and FX activity. Ensure timely and accurate responses aligned with defined service levels.
  • Level 1 Operational Support: Provide immediate resolution for routine service and operational requests. Identify and escalate complex or high-risk issues to Senior Client Service Officers or Service Directors as appropriate.
  • Treasury & FX Product Support: Develop working knowledge of core Treasury Services products, foreign exchange processes, and associated operational workflows to effectively address client needs.
  • Productivity & Service Standards: Meet established productivity, quality, and performance benchmarks. Complete required training journeys, certifications, and internal learning requirements within designated timelines.
  • Risk & Compliance Adherence: Maintain adherence to BNY standards, policies, procedures, and internal controls. Ensure accurate documentation of client interactions and operational activities.
  • Continuous Improvement & Collaboration: Contribute feedback and ideas to support client service transformation initiatives. Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, payments, and support teams to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Professional Development: Achieve grade-level objectives related to performance, behavior, and productivity while demonstrating accountability and client-centricity.


Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of work experience, preferably in banking, payments, FX operations, or client service environments
  • Experience supporting foreign exchange (FX) transactions and/or payment operations preferred
  • Strong client service orientation with the ability to manage high volumes of inquiries
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and perform effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing business needs
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant banking/finance experience

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in Treasury Services or corporate banking operations
  • Exposure to service level management and productivity-based performance environments
  • Familiarity with banking systems and client service case management tools
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally within a regulated financial services organization
