About the Role:
As a Teller within the finance and insurance industry, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers conducting their daily banking transactions. Your role is critical in ensuring accurate and efficient processing of deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other financial services while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for identifying customer needs and providing appropriate solutions or referrals to other banking specialists. This position requires a strong commitment to compliance with banking regulations and internal policies to safeguard customer assets and the institution's integrity. Ultimately, your work will contribute to building trust and long-term relationships between the bank and its customers, supporting the overall financial health and reputation of the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic proficiency with computers and banking software applications.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle cash responsibly and maintain accuracy under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Process routine financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify customer identification and account information to ensure security and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and educating customers about available banking products and services.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Identify opportunities to refer customers to appropriate banking specialists for additional products or services that meet their financial needs.
