Experienced Cook
BN Jacks on Main – Sutton, WV
BN Jacks on Main is a brand-new restaurant opening in mid-October, and we’re looking for an experienced cook to join our kitchen team as we prepare to open our doors.
We’re seeking someone who takes pride in their work, is confident in a busy kitchen, and wants to help build a dependable, hardworking team from the ground up. If you’re committed to quality, consistency, and great hospitality, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Prepare menu items accurately, efficiently, and consistently
- Manage multiple tickets during busy lunch and dinner periods
- Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and presentation standards
- Complete daily prep and restocking to keep the kitchen ready for service
- Help establish and maintain organized kitchen systems before opening
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties
- Communicate clearly and effectively with servers and fellow kitchen staff
- Contribute to a positive kitchen culture as part of a new restaurant team
Requirements
- Previous restaurant cooking experience required
- Valid food handler’s card or ability to obtain one easily
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to doing quality work
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work independently when needed
- Open availability preferred
- Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a small, hardworking team
- Excited to help launch a brand-new restaurant
Pay
Pay based on experience.
Applicants with strong line-cook, prep-cook, restaurant, or kitchen experience may qualify for higher starting pay.
