What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Advisor position at BMW OF HAWAII?
Role and Responsibilities:
1. Parts ordering: Receive and process customer orders for automotive parts, including BMW original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts and accessories. Utilize electronic catalog and databases to identify and locate the correct parts for customer needs
2. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries, providing product information, and offering guidance on parts selection. Offer recommendations based on customer requirements and vehicle specifications.
3. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of available parts and accessories. Monitor stock levels and reorder as necessary to ensure the availability of commonly requested items. Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile any discrepancies.
4. Parts Sales: Actively promote and sell parts and accessories to customers, both in person and over the phone. Demonstrate product knowledge, explain features and benefits, and upsell when appropriate.
5. Technical Support: Assist service technicians and mechanics in identifying and sourcing the correct parts needed for vehicle repairs and maintenance. Collaborate with the service department to ensure timely delivery of parts and minimize vehicle downtime.
6. Documentation and Administration: Accurately record and maintain all relevant documentation, such as invoices, purchase orders, and warranty claims. Process financial transactions and handle cash or credit card payments.
7. Parts Research and Training: Stay up-to-date with the latest BMW parts and accessories, including new releases and product updates. Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance product knowledge and technical expertise.
