Description
- Partners with the Paint Shop in problem solving activities and provides technical solutions on process and material issues.
- Performs color harmony and appearance evaluation on series vehicles.
- Ensures the quality of paint delivered to the Plant Paint Shop. Conducts paint compatatibility testing for materials and consumables.
- Reviews and approves incoming paint batches for color.
- Understands and models VPS (Value Added Production System) Principles and concepts of Standard Work and Problem Solving.
- Adheres to 6S and Safety Standards and Principles Performs other duties as assigned by management.
- BA/BS degree (Engineering or Chemistry preferred); OR AA/AS degree in a technical field and 2 years of professional paint technology or chemistry experience in an automotive manufacturing environment; OR The equivalent of 4 years of professional paint technology or chemistry experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
- 2 years of relevant professional paint technology or chemistry experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
- 2 years of experience with leading projects or special team assignments.
- 2 years of experience performing problem solving activities with cross functional teams.
- 1 years of project management experience.
- 2 years of MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Access).
- 2 years of professional communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
- 3 years of skills with developing processes with internal & external organizations.
- 1 years of documentation, report writing, and presentation skills.
- German Language skills (preferred).
