What Awaits You.

  • Coordinate and implement BMW Group’s political and lobbying strategy in the US to support government affairs and political communication.
  • Achieve strategic political goals by managing inside-out advocacy and outside-in early warning of the US political landscape.
  • Build and maintain networks with political institutions, NGOs, and key stakeholders; manage external relations and lobbyists.
  • Advise and support BMW leadership, including CEO and board members, representing BMW in legislative and regulatory matters.
  • Collaborate internally and externally on policy issues, seeking strategic alliances to advance BMW’s position and mitigate risks.
  • Monitor legislation and regulations on vehicle technologies, safety, telematics, privacy, autonomous vehicles, AI, and data sharing; share insights within BMW.
  • Act as a key advocate for BMW North America’s technology portfolio, working closely with internal teams to align policy and product strategies.

What You Should Bring.

  • BA/BS degree.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in “local, state, and federal government affairs, political operations, policy expertise, international relations, business/technology.
  • Understanding policy, privacy, data, telematics policy.
  • Ability to take complex and complicated issues and translate them into understandable language for policy makers.
  • Preferences:
    • Master’s Degree.
    • 1 - 3 years working on Capitol Hill, relevant trade associations, and/or Administration.
    • 1 - 3 years in private sector/related industry.

In support of BMW Group’s business objectives, this position requires regular onsite attendance at a BMW office/facility with remote work capability (hybrid).

The expected salary range for this position is $62,500.00 - $125,000.00.

The selected candidate’s education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. All pay ranges are based on a full-time work schedule. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.

As part of the hiring process, you may be required to successfully pass a background check. A satisfactory completion of a background investigation including verification of education, prior employment, criminal history, credit check history, and pre-employment drug screen to the extent permissible under applicable state law, is a condition of your offer of employment and your continued employment. The results of your background investigation are satisfactory and acceptable in the sole judgement and discretion of BMW Shared Services, LLC.
