Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting with product information.
- Operate cash registers accurately, handling cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
- Process retail sales transactions efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems, ensuring quick checkouts during busy periods.
- Upsell products and promote store specials or promotions to enhance sales opportunities.
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and assist with merchandising to ensure the store remains attractive and well-organized.
- Conduct product demos when applicable to educate customers about new or featured items.
- Maintain professional phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries.
- Support inventory management by assisting with stocking and inventory counts as needed.
- Assist in training new team members or supervising staff during shifts to ensure excellent service standards are upheld.
- Engage customers in retail math calculations for discounts or promotions to ensure clarity and satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and cash handling procedures is highly desirable.
