Position reports to: Director of Information Technology, Las Vegas
Primary Objective
Maintain the availability, integrity and security of BMM's global IT platforms and of all IT infrastructure supporting the Las Vegas office. This position combines hands-on systems and network administration with supervision of the personnel reporting to it and is accountable for the quality of IT service delivered to internal and, where applicable, external customers. Whether working directly or through team members, this position will successfully produce specific deliverables as agreed.
Key Accountabilities
- Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, endpoint management, licensing, access controls, MFA, conditional access, patching and configuration baselines.
- Manage global file systems, remote monitoring and management tools, configuration records, assets, licenses, runbooks and IT documentation.
- Submit and coordinate system changes through BMM’s change management process with regional IT teams to avoid disruption.
- Monitor security tooling and alert queues, triage and escalate incidents, support vulnerability management, maintain least-privilege access and provide audit evidence.
- Enforce IT, data handling, acceptable use and artificial intelligence usage policies, and support security awareness activities.
- Operate and maintain the Las Vegas corporate, client and laboratory networks, including firewalls, routing, switching, wireless, VPNs, segmentation and cabling.
- Maintain local server, virtualization, storage, backup, telecommunications, internet circuits, server room, power, environmental monitoring and physical access controls.
- Manage IT aspects of office moves, laboratory build-outs, hardware refreshes, equipment decommissioning and secure media sanitization.
- Supervise IT Support Technicians, including work allocation, scheduling, coaching, training plans, objectives and performance input.
- Own the Las Vegas service desk, including ticket queues, prioritization, escalation, response and resolution targets, SOPs and knowledge base content.
- Act as escalation point for complex or high-impact incidents affecting Las Vegas users or applicable global services.
- Report service desk performance, infrastructure status, risks and improvement opportunities to the supervisor at least weekly.
- Manage vendor relationships, support cases, service levels, renewals, quotations, purchase requests and budget input.
- Manage projects and upgrades within agreed time frames and budgeted hours, escalating scope concerns promptly.
- Operate services in line with BMM’s quality management system and ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO/IEC 17065 requirements, supporting audits, regulatory reviews and customer assessments.
- Maintain and test backup, recovery and business continuity arrangements, contribute to disaster recovery planning and conduct training as required.
Qualifications
Degree in information technology, computer science or a related field, or five years of progressive IT infrastructure and systems administration experience, including at least two years of supervisory responsibility, plus an associate degree in an applicable IT program from an accredited school.
Required
- Hands-on Microsoft 365 and Entra ID administration in a multi-site environment.
- Enterprise networking experience with firewalls, segmentation, routing, switching, wireless and VPN technologies.
- Windows Server, virtualization, backup and enterprise file services administration.
- Working knowledge of security operations, alert triage, endpoint detection and response, logging, monitoring, patching and vulnerability management.
- Demonstrated supervisory, team lead or people-management experience.
- Experience working within formal change management and documentation processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical matters to non-technical colleagues and work with distributed teams.
Preferred
- Experience in regulated, accredited or audited environments such as gaming, laboratory or financial services.
- Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO/IEC 17065 as they apply to IT services and records.
- Experience with global file systems or cloud network attached storage.
- Experience with enterprise security fabric, endpoint detection and response, and remote monitoring and management tools.
- PowerShell or other scripting and automation capability.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure or Endpoint Administrator, CompTIA Network or Security , CCNA, vendor security certifications or ITIL Foundation.
Conditions of employment
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain any registration, license or finding of suitability required by applicable gaming regulatory authorities. The position is based on-site in Las Vegas, participates in an on-call rotation, performs maintenance activity outside business hours as required, and involves occasional travel to other BMM locations.
