Lead Automotive Technician / Shop Manager – BMB Auto

BMB Auto is looking for an experienced, dependable Lead Automotive Technician / Shop Manager who is capable of doing more than just repairing vehicles.

We are looking for someone who can help run and grow a repair shop, manage the flow of vehicles, communicate professionally with customers, and build relationships that bring customers back.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles accurately and efficiently
• Handle general automotive repairs, maintenance, brakes, suspension, engine work, cooling systems, electrical issues, and other repairs
• Help manage the daily workflow of the shop
• Prioritize jobs and make sure vehicles are completed in a timely manner
• Communicate with customers about repairs and recommended services
• Provide good customer service and help maintain long-term customer relationships
• Help attract new customers through quality work, professionalism, and reputation
• Keep the work area organized and professional
• Help oversee other technicians/helpers as the shop grows
• Be accountable for jobs from diagnosis through completion

What We’re Looking For

• Experienced automotive technician
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
• Able to work independently without constant supervision
• Reliable and dependable
• Good communication and customer-service skills
• Able to manage multiple vehicles/jobs at once
• Someone who takes pride in their work and stands behind their repairs
• Leadership or previous shop-management experience is a major plus
• Must be interested in helping grow the business, not simply coming in and turning wrenches

Compensation

This is NOT an hourly-pay position.

Compensation is paid per job / based on work completed.

Pay and percentage/rate will be discussed in person and will depend on experience, ability, productivity, and what you can bring to the shop.

There is strong earning potential for the right person who can complete quality work efficiently and help keep customers coming through the door.

About the Position

We are looking for someone who wants an opportunity to take a major role in the operation of the shop. The right person will have room to grow as the repair side of BMB Auto grows.

If you’re only looking to clock in and collect hourly pay, this probably isn’t the right position.
