Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly first impression of the restaurant.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to minimize wait times.
- Assist servers by clearing tables, resetting dining areas, and delivering food or beverages when needed.
- Support the flow of service by running food from the kitchen to tables promptly and accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness in dining and service areas, ensuring a tidy and inviting atmosphere.
- Answer guest inquiries courteously via phone or in person, providing information about menu items or restaurant policies.
- Use POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders or assist with guest payments when required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a host/hostess, busser, runner, or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and hospitality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting trays or clearing tables comfortably.
- Professional phone etiquette and guest relations experience are advantageous.
