BMA is seeking a Time and Expense Clerk to join our collaborative back office team. This position is located at our Headquarters in Huntsville, AL. 

 

Job Summary

The Time & Expense Clerk supports compliant labor charging, expense reporting, and vendor payment activity in a government contracting environment. This role reviews, processes timesheets, expense reports, and accounts payable transactions while ensuring proper approvals, charge codes, documentation, and adherence to company policy, contract requirements, and DCAA audit expectations.

 

Clearance Requirements 

There is no Security clearance requirement for this position. 

 

Required Skills & Certifications 

  • Responsible for reviewing and approving travel requests.
  • Provide continued excellence in customer service and participate in as needed training for timesheets and expense reports for new hires and managers.
  • Receive, process, verify, and reconcile invoices.
  • Verify vendor accounts, paying vendors, and resolving purchase order, invoice, or payment discrepancies.
  • Review and audit employee timecards, ensuring time is entered and approved according to DCAA requirements.
  • Answer timekeeping questions from employees and managers.
  • Work with Project Control to ensure project codes are assigned to timecards and expense reports in a timely manner.
  • Keeping informed of regulatory requirements and best practices (DCAA, FAR, GSA, FTR, JTR).
  • Track weekly employee timecard submission and approval.
