An ABA Program Supervisor oversees the delivery of Applied Behavior Analysis services by supervising and training Behavior Technicians, ensuring treatment plans created by a BCBA are implemented effectively. The role also involves mentoring staff, coordinating with families and teams, and ensuring high-quality, individualized services across settings.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Program Supervisor, you will:
- Develop and oversee clinical programs, ensuring they align with best practices in ABA therapy.
- Supervise Behavior Technicians (BTs), providing direct guidance, mentorship, and training to ensure effective service delivery.
- Implement behavior reduction protocols and clinical instruction tailored to each child’s needs in home, community, school, and clinic settings.
- Collect data on client progress, assist with parent training, and support implementation of individualized treatment programs designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Prepare and maintain clinical programs, progress reports, and supervision documents in compliance with contract and billable hours.
- Provide direct therapy to clients when needed, including covering for absent BTs to ensure uninterrupted services.
- Maintain effective communication with client families, colleagues, and administrative teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation and reporting for all client cases.
- Serve as a leader and mentor, helping entry-level to advanced BTs develop confidence and competence in conducting effective sessions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must be actively pursuing a master's degree in mental health (psychology, child development, childhood education, special education, or a related field).
- Plus - be actively pursuing a BCBA certification and be enrolled in or have completed an ABA Master’s Program.
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders and/or other developmental disabilities in a multi-disciplinary team setting.
- Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), behavioral assessments, and report writing.
- Ability to travel and work in multiple service areas as needed (Marin, Solano and Contra Costa counties).
- Driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and auto insurance.
