Seeking an experienced WordPress UI/UX Designer & Developer to support, design, build, and maintain WordPress websites on WP Engine and AWS OpenShift. Role includes new development, onboarding, PHP/Java web apps support, updates, patches, and DevOps workflow participation. Hybrid mobile apps and kiosk support may be included.
#Responsibilities
Design, develop, customize, and maintain WordPress sites, themes, and plugins
Build responsive UI/UX for desktop & mobile
Manage updates, patches, and hardening (security) for WordPress core, themes, plugins
Work with PHP, JavaScript, NodeJS, React, CSS, Bootstrap
Use APIs (REST / GraphQL), MySQL, Apache/Nginx, Git, CLI, Bash
Support hosting environments (WPEngine, AWS OpenShift)
Follow incident/change/problem management using Cherwell
Participate in DevOps and Agile workflow
Ensure 99.5% uptime for 24/7 WordPress hosting environments
