Duties
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as deep tissue massage, swedish massage and other modalities tailored to individual client needs
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and identify areas of concern or discomfort
- Educate clients on self-care practices to support ongoing wellness
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all clients by adhering to sanitation standards and spa protocols
- Stay current with industry trends, new techniques, and continuing education requirements to enhance skills and service quality
Skills
- Strong client service orientation with excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in client assessment and understanding of physiology related to massage therapy
- Expertise in deep tissue massage and Swedish massage techniques
- Knowledge of human anatomy relevant to therapeutic massage
- Ability to provide compassionate customer service while maintaining professional boundaries
- Familiarity with occupational health principles and injury prevention strategies
- Previous experience working in a spa or similar wellness environment is highly desirable
