Job Summary
We are seeking a Integration Lead with 10 years of enterprise experience to steer the architecture, design, and deployment of our global integration landscape. In this role, you will serve as the primary technical authority for our MuleSoft Anypoint Platform ecosystem. You will lead the transition of complex business workflows into reusable, highly secure API networks using MuleSoft’s API-led connectivity framework. This role requires a blend of deep technical mastery (Mule 4, DataWeave 2.0, Runtime Fabric), strategic governance, and strong leadership to mentor development teams and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders. Experience in heavy enterprise sectors like Energy, Oil & Gas, or Utilities is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture & Design: Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-grade integration solutions using MuleSoft (Mule 4.x) and API-led connectivity paradigms.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data integration and orchestration workflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to integrate MuleSoft APIs with Azure data services, including Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Blob Storage.
- Governance & Standards: Establish and enforce MuleSoft Center of Excellence (C4E) standards, architecture principles, reusable asset governance, and design patterns.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate with business partners, enterprise architects, and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into robust technical integration specs.
- API Development: Design and develop high-performance APIs and microservices using RAML/OAS, DataWeave 2.0, and event-driven data exchange frameworks.
- Ecosystem Integration: Lead end-to-end integration efforts across core enterprise systems including ERP (SAP/Oracle), CRM (Salesforce), ServiceNow, cloud platforms, and third-party applications.
- Platform Optimization: Ensure scalability, reliability, high availability, and security of the MuleSoft platform across [CloudHub / Runtime Fabric (RTF) / On-Prem] deployments.
- Lifecycle Management: Manage the complete integration lifecycle including automated testing (MUnit), automated deployments, and root-cause analysis for complex issues.
- DevOps & CI/CD: Drive automation initiatives by integrating MuleSoft deployments with CI/CD pipelines via Maven, Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor and guide onshore/offshore developers and integration engineers on technical standards, conducting rigorous code and design reviews.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10 years of IT experience, with at least 7 years dedicated exclusively to MuleSoft enterprise integration and technical leadership roles.
- Advanced, hands-on mastery of the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (API Manager, Runtime Manager, Access Management, Anypoint MQ).
- Extensive experience designing and implementing REST APIs (RAML/OAS), SOAP services, and microservices architecture.
- Strong knowledge of security standards including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, Mutual TLS (mTLS), and API security best practices.
- Deep understanding of enterprise application integration (EAI) patterns, data transformation (XML, JSON), and complex mapping using DataWeave 2.0.
- Solid experience with DevOps tools, Maven, and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions) configured specifically for MuleSoft.
- Strong SQL and relational database integration experience.
- Experience integrating Azure Data Factory with cloud and on-premises data sources, including Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and third-party applications.
- Understanding of enterprise data integration architectures leveraging both MuleSoft and Azure Data Factory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (especially relevant for Runtime Fabric environments).
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
- Prior experience delivering integration solutions within the Oil & Gas, Energy, or Utilities industries.
- Experience working with the broader Azure data ecosystem, including Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure Functions.
