We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Front Office and Insurance Coordinator with knowledge of medical billing and coding, and excellent patient service experience. Duties
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits using health information management software.
- Using phone and internet to follow up directly with insurance companies on late or incorrectly processed claims payments.
- Working with veterans and VA benefits and claims processes.
- Patient statements.
- Process medical claims accurately, including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), and ICD coding for billing purposes.
- Review documentation for completeness and accuracy to ensure proper reimbursement and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Handle patient inquiries via multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Maintain organized medical records, perform filing duties, and ensure confidentiality of protected health information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Utilize computer skills including Microsoft Office suite for documentation review, data entry, and reporting tasks.
- Qualifications
- Prior experience in a medical office setting with proficiency in front desk operations and insurance processing within chiropractic or dental clinics preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical billing procedures, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding standards, and Medicare regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and filing processes.
- Exceptional communication skills including phone etiquette.
- Demonstrate ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and health information management practices required.
- Experience with healthcare terminology experience is a plus but not mandatory.
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
