Job Summary
This position has the opportunity to come with a living quarters included. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Painter to oversee and execute painting projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. As a Lead Painter, you will be responsible for managing painting crews, ensuring quality standards, and adhering to safety regulations. Your expertise in various painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing will drive the success of our projects. Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate painting teams on multiple construction and renovation sites, ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Prepare surfaces thoroughly through cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply coatings using brush, roller, spray guns (including airless and conventional spray), and other hand tools with precision.
- Conduct quality control checks by performing visual color comparisons and inspecting finish
- Maintain safety protocols by utilizing respiratory protection, adhering to safety regulations, and ensuring team compliance on all job sites.
Skills
- Deep knowledge of color theory and various painting techniques including residential painting, commercial painting, industrial coating applications, and restoration projects.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless), spray painting methods (construction spray painting), brush painting, roller painting, and surface preparation tools.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to construction site work including respiratory protection and hazard mitigation.
- Skilled in surface preparation.
- Basic math skills for measurements and estimations; experience with construction site operations is highly valued.
- Knowledge of structural painting techniques including framing carpentry and industrial coating applications; handyman experience is advantageous.
