Role Description The Xray Technologist role at Bluewater Radiology is a full-time, on-site position located in Boca Raton, FL. The Xray Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with physician orders and established protocols, while ensuring patient comfort, dignity, and safety. Daily responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, operating radiologic equipment, selecting appropriate technical factors, and verifying image quality for diagnostic interpretation. The technologist will follow strict radiation safety guidelines, maintain accurate patient and imaging records, and assist with workflow coordination to support efficient department operations. This role also involves collaborating closely with radiologists, physicians, and other care team members, maintaining exam rooms and equipment in clean and working order, and providing clear, respectful communication to patients and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification or eligibility, with applicable state licensure as required.
- Proficiency in Radiologic Technology and Radiology principles, including image acquisition, positioning, and quality control.
- Strong knowledge of Radiation Safety practices, including proper shielding, exposure minimization, and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and basic Medicine concepts related to diagnostic imaging and patient care.
- Previous experience as an Xray Technologist or in a similar diagnostic imaging role preferred; new graduates with appropriate credentials will be considered.
- Ability to provide compassionate, inclusive, and respectful care to a diverse patient population, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Comfort using PACS/RIS and electronic health record systems, with strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow protocols, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
