Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary HR partner to company leadership and manage HR policies, procedures, and systems.
- Manage employee relations and compliance matters, including performance management, corrective action, investigations, terminations, and accommodations.
- Maintain compliant personnel records, including I-9s, E-Verify, and audit-ready documentation.
- Coordinate Workers’ Compensation and return-to-work processes.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment in partnership with hiring managers and recruiting partners.
- Conduct onboarding, background checks, drug screens, and employment eligibility verification.
- Administer HRIS and timekeeping systems (Paylocity).
- Process weekly payroll and related compliance requirements, including wage & hour rules and child support ACH filings.
- Administer employee benefits programs (health, COBRA, 401(k)), serve as liaison with vendors, and coordinate benefits invoice reconciliation and payments.
- Coordinate performance management processes, including reviews, coaching, and performance improvement plans.
- Support role clarity and employee development through job descriptions and engagement initiatives.
- Partner with Operations to support safety initiatives and required OSHA and safety training
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field required.
- 8 years of progressive HR experience (construction industry preferred). Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance.
- Experience operating in a standalone or highly autonomous HR role with hands-on responsibility.
- Proficient in Excel and HRIS and timekeeping software (Paylocity preferred) .
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Excellent judgment, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive matters.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
