SUMMARY:
Directly supervises surveillance operators in the performance of their duties to ensure that all gaming regulations and guidelines are being followed. Responsible for keeping the Director of Surveillance informed regarding reported matters on concern, serious issues or concerns including detentions, suspected internal or external theft, and all employee discipline issues. This position requires 24 hour 7 days a Week availability. The Surveillance Supervisor reports to the Director of Surveillance with whom an open accurate and reliable line of communication is to be maintained.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Keeps Director of Surveillance thoroughly informed of all activities related to equipment repair, adjustment, and replacement. Approves/disapproves leave requests, assigns work schedules, and train surveillance personnel in the absence of the Director of Surveillance. Provides direct oversight and training of new hires and support staff. Consults with management and vendors on specific types of orders of equipment needed for certain surveillance operations. Perform all surveillance operator duties in addition to supervisory responsibilities. Provides appropriate and timely notification of gaming and other violations to Director of Surveillance. Ensures all reports are complete and thorough. Ensures all video data is retained when required and all Surveillance logs are complete. Recommends personnel for promotion and disciplinary actions. Will serve as the second required surveillance operator in the event of unscheduled absences. Prepare monthly reports as required. Prepare supply list, orders and contact vendors as needed. Recommends personnel for promotion and disciplinary actions. Complies with BlueWater Resort & Casino rules and regulations, ensures all employees are in compliance. Assist and direct proper use of equipment, train and develop staff when necessary. All other duties as assigned (non-gaming functions and issued gaming license permitting).
Qualifications:KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

An individual must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret basic documents, such as policy and procedure manuals. Thorough knowledge of all casino games, gambling policies, gaming regulations, and procedures for all casino departments and ensures strict adherence throughout the property. Superior skills with various PC based software programs. Ability to develop and maintain a pleasant and effective working relationship with staff and guests. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and small group situations. Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED required. Prior surveillance and/or supervisor experience a plus, but not required. Must be able to obtain and retain a gaming license. Must maintain strict confidentiality of classified/sensitive information. Must be competent with various PC based software programs and standard office equipment. Must be able to establish and maintain productive working relationship with co-workers and management and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Indoor office environment in confined area and low lighting. This position regularly works indoors. The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet to moderate and may become excessively noisy at times. Will have contact with employees, external agencies and the public.
