Overview
We are a small construction, development firm as well as a commercial pool contractor and Metal Roofing Contractor. We focus on infill custom residential projects throughout the tampa bay area. We have recently taken on a number of remodeling projects, tear downs, and new construction due to the recent storms and are in need of an experienced , well seasoned superintendent. We are looking for help to oversee our construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the new construction sites of single family homes, and residential remodel projects, managing, scheduling subcontractors, ensuring quality control, and maintaining adherence to project timelines and budgets. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills via phone and builders software (BuilderTrend) , and a deep understanding of construction management practices.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with company owners and clients, don't set unachievable expectations to either.
- Supervise all on-site construction activities and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met.
- Read and interpret blueprints to guide construction processes effectively.
- Utilize construction management software such as BuilderTrend for project tracking and documentation.
- Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure work meets industry standards.
- Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective practices.
- Train and mentor site personnel on best practices in construction management and safety protocols.
- Maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding project progress, challenges, and changes.
Qualifications
- Computer proficient, specifically email friendly, able to create, scan, and send some basic documents
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in using construction management software (e.g., BuilderTrend) for project documentation and tracking.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with budgeting practices in construction projects from a getting estimates standpoint.
- Experience with quality control measures on construction sites, understanding company owners and clients quality expectations
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
