Job Title: Assistant Superintendent – Multi-Family Construction (Travel Required)
Position Summary: Bluewater Builders is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Superintendent to support our Multi-Family construction team. This role is critical in maintaining field operations, ensuring quality control, and supporting the Superintendent in delivering projects on time and within company standards. This position requires travel to active job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform unit walks and complete sign-offs to ensure units meet quality standards and are ready for turnover
- Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors across all phases of construction
- Monitor daily field operations, ensuring workflow efficiency and adherence to project schedules
- Inspect work throughout the day to maintain quality control and sign off on completed work orders
- Manage and track punch list items, ensuring timely completion and meeting project deadlines
- Oversee subcontractors to confirm they have the necessary materials and support to complete daily tasks
- Handle material inventory, including pulling, tracking, and securing materials in garages and conex containers
- Ensure all storage areas are properly secured after material distribution
- Receive deliveries, verify quantities, and maintain accurate records
- Scan and organize delivery receipts in designated folders
- Distribute delivery documentation via email to internal team members
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in construction, preferably in multi-family projects
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, sequencing, and field operations
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control
- Effective communication and team coordination skills
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (email, document management, etc.)
- Willingness and ability to travel to various job sites as required
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk job sites daily, including climbing stairs and navigating active construction environments
- Capability to lift and move materials as needed
