What you ll be doing

• Overseeing the smooth operation, monitoring, and maintenance of hydronic boiler and chiller systems.
• Conducting diagnostics, repairs, and rebuilds on pumps, motors, and valves.
• Executing vibration analysis and ensuring alignment of pumps and rotating equipment.
• Maintaining and repairing cooling towers and wastewater treatment systems.
• Performing welding and fabrication tasks to support system maintenance.
• Ensuring compliance with EPA regulations and environmental standards.
• Maintaining accurate logs and documentation of system performance and maintenance activities.
• Responding promptly to alarms and troubleshooting system malfunctions.
• Collaborating with maintenance, engineering, and safety teams to guarantee optimal system performance and reliability.

The right person has

• A high school diploma or GED; technical or trade school certification preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in operating hydronic boiler and chiller systems.
• A strong mechanical aptitude with experience in pump and motor repair/rebuild.
• Proficiency in welding, pipefitting, and mechanical alignment techniques.
• Knowledge of vibration analysis tools and techniques.
• Familiarity with cooling tower and wastewater system operations.
• An understanding of EPA regulations and environmental compliance practices.
• The ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• A valid state or local boiler operator license.
• EPA 608 Certification (Universal).
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
