Why fall in love with us?

Bluestone is a private company with an experienced management team serving all parts of the value chain. More than 500 employees work across 7 global sales offices, 2 production sites and 2 mines. For over four decades, we have supported customers across various specialty chemicals industries.

We combine the speed, drive and flexibility of a start-up with the ambition and scale of a global business. This is a place for people who want to take ownership, challenge the status quo and help build smarter ways of working across the supply chain.

As global demand continues to grow and supply chains become more complex, we are looking for people who bring rigour, curiosity, courage and operational excellence to the table.

🎯 The Role

As Logistics Specialist, you will play an important role in the day-to-day coordination of our commercial, logistics and supply chain operations.

You will manage orders and shipments, coordinate with carriers, warehouses and third-party logistics providers, maintain accurate operational records, and work closely with customers, suppliers, commercial colleagues and accounting to ensure orders move smoothly from purchase through delivery.

This is primarily a logistics coordination and order-management role, with a strong focus on freight, shipments, documentation and communication with external logistics partners.

It is not primarily a warehouse supervision, fleet management or driver-management position.

We are looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, following things through to completion and working across multiple stakeholders in an international environment.

πŸ“¦ What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate logistics activities related to sales and purchase orders.
  • Arrange and manage shipments with carriers, freight providers, warehouses, 3PLs and other logistics partners.
  • Track orders and shipments from origin through delivery.
  • Proactively communicate shipment status, delays and exceptions to customers, suppliers and internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate customer, supplier, product, order and shipment information within company systems.
  • Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, operational reports and supporting records.
  • Support monthly inventory reconciliation and other operational control activities.
  • Review and verify logistics-related vendor invoices.
  • Work with Accounting to investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies.
  • Investigate shipment issues, order discrepancies, damaged or delayed deliveries and customer inquiries.
  • Coordinate closely with our Commercial and Operations teams to ensure reliable execution and excellent customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, documentation standards and applicable shipping requirements.
  • Identify operational issues early and take ownership of following them through to resolution.

βœ… What We’re Looking For

  • Previous professional experience in logistics, transportation, freight, order management or supply chain operations.
  • Experience coordinating shipments with carriers, freight forwarders, 3PLs or warehouses is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing customer or supplier orders from order entry through shipment and delivery is highly valued.
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage several orders, shipments and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience using ERP, TMS, order-management or inventory-management systems.
  • A proactive, dependable and solution-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an international team.

Experience with international freight, import/export processes, shipping documentation or customs-related activities is considered a strong advantage.

πŸš€ What We Offer

  • Competitive salary of $50,000–$55,000 per year.
  • Health insurance.
  • 401(k) matching.
  • Paid time off.
  • Opportunity to join a growing international organization.
  • Exposure to global supply chain, commercial and logistics operations.
  • Collaborative and supportive working environment.
  • Professional development and career-growth opportunities as the organization expands.
