Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Receptionist is to greet visitors, residents, and employees at the front desk and answer the telephone, directing calls as needed. This position serves as a substitute when regularly scheduled Receptionists are unavailable at Schowalter Villa, Kidron Bethel Village, and The Cedars locations.
Essential Job Functions:
- Greet visitors, residents, and employees, focusing on customer service in a timely manner.
- Answer all telephone calls to the main campus number, and direct where requested.
- Receive payments from residents, placing them in a bank bag.
- Receive, distribute and forward incoming mail, memos, and messages to various departments.
- Maintain Petty Cash with the proper receipting and maintaining the controlled balance.
- Submit Maintenance work orders using online system when requested by residents and staff.
- Prepare name plates for Resident rooms.
- Print all publications as directed.
- Assist residents and staff with mailings using the weight and machine.
- Assist staff with COVID testing as needed.
- Assist Executive Director as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must be at least eighteen [18] years of age
- Must have strong communication and outstanding customer service skills
- Must have prior office experience maintaining detailed, organized, and accurate records
- Must have experience exercising good judgement in a variety of situations
- Must be able to balance multiple priorities effectively and efficiently
Physical Requirements:
Light Work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls.
