The Order Manager provides assistance to the project engineering managers with administrative ERP tasks, buyout material orders and project financial reporting. They manage and track orders and invoices for multiple projects and coordinate with internal customers.
The Order Manager ensures timely, clear, and professional verbal and written communication to internal customer requests. They leverage strong organizational skills to act as the primary liaison between the team and multiple project vendors, managing activities such as placing orders, tracking deliveries, and processing invoices. A key responsibility is project production/purchase sequencing and tracking within the Compass ERP system, which provides essential visibility for plant operations and accurate financial reporting. This role requires in-depth knowledge of Compass ERP and Business Intelligence interfaces to perform these tasks effectively.

Key Focus Areas
- Project Management
- Champion a culture of Zero Harm by actively promoting safety in all project phases.
- Ensure accurate order entry, from information provided in process documents.
- Provide timely purchase orders for project materials from Project Manager/PEM requests.
- Timely receiving of outside purchase invoices to support accurate financial tracking.
- Provide material breakouts on all projects to align with construction sequencing
- Provide E-time and workday input for all projects.
- Manage and maintain backlog and order data, ensuring alignment with project milestones and project forecasting provided by Project Manager/PEM.
- Checking and removing holds on production sequences for fabrication.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with builders, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement (CI) by identifying and implementing process enhancements.
- 3 years of relevant work experience
- 2 years of buildings/construction experience
- Competent in Order Management System applications (i.e. ERP, purchasing systems, etc.)
- knowledgeability to learn and consistently apply order management processes and documentation procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal team members
- Organizational agility
- Proactive approach to managing tasks and takes ownership of his/her projects
- Competence with Microsoft Office products
- Competent in problem solving
- To be considered an ideal candidate, you should possess some or all the following qualifications:
- Good negotiating skills
- Associate or 2-year technical degree
