The VP of Manufacturing is member of the BlueScope Buildings North America Executive Team. Direct report to the BlueScope Buildings North America President.
This role contributes to Our Purpose by leading all aspects of the Manufacturing and Supply Chain & Logistics operations. Responsible for seven manufacturing facilities, six in the US and one in Mexico, along with safety, quality, delivery, environmental, Labor relations (as appropriate), and financial results.

Key Focus Areas
- Drive operational improvements related to throughput increases to satisfy customer demand,
- Reliability and maintenance excellence to lower costs and reduce operational variability.
- Contribute to modernizing our enterprise resource planning, or ERP, systems across BBNA to eliminate data silos, minimize duplication and reduce errors, increasing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Approximately 225,000 tons of steel
- Approximately, 1200 people in Manufacturing, Logistics, and Supply Chain Organization, with 5 direct reports.
- Influence across all areas of the business including sales and marketing, advanced engineering, and corporate support resources such as IT, HR , legal, and environmental.

Foundational Experience
- At least 15-20 years of heavy manufacturing experience, with progressive leadership development across multiple departments and functions.
- Exceptional track record of success driving continuous improvement/possess a continuous improvement mindset.
- Track record of transformational leadership in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability and track record in improving capacity in multiple manufacturing facilities.
- Industrial relations experience, working with unions.
- Experience operating in the steel industry.
- Experience either adding manufacturing facilities from an acquisition/greenfield or conversion standpoint.
- Strong track record of preventative and predictive maintenance.
- Experience leading (and passion for) application of new technologies and digital solutions to both the continuous and step-change improvement of a business
