About Blueprint Schools Network & The Role

At Blueprint Schools Network, we believe that every student possesses incredible potential that deserves to be fully realized through high-quality, personalized instruction. As a Math Fellow, you won’t just support students—you’ll help expand access to high-quality math instruction for young people who deserve every opportunity to succeed. Along the way, you’ll build the skills, experience, and confidence to become an exceptional educator and community leader.

As a Fellow, you will deliver intensive, small-group math instruction during the school day, working directly with students to build their confidence, strengthen their foundational math skills, and help them reach their full potential. You will receive structured onboarding, regular 1-on-1 coaching, collaborative lesson planning, and whole-group professional development throughout the program year.

This is practice-based learning at its best: you grow as an educator in real time, backed by a supportive professional network.

Real service. Real students. Real results.

Why This Role Matters

The opportunity gap is real—and Fellows help close it.

Far too many students—disproportionately those from historically under-resourced communities—move through school without receiving the rigorous, personalized math support they need to build lasting confidence and academic momentum. The effects compound: students who fall behind early are less likely to access advanced coursework, post-secondary opportunities, and economic mobility.

Blueprint Math Fellows serve at exactly this inflection point. By providing daily, intensive small-group instruction, Fellows accelerate learning, rebuild academic confidence, and help students access the full promise of their education. The impact isn't abstract—it is measurable, and it belongs to you.

Key Responsibilities

During your term of service, you will:

  • Deliver High-Impact Instruction: Lead daily small-group math instruction for designated cohorts of students during the school day.

  • Data-Driven Support: Track student progress and adapt instructional approaches in real time using assessment data and educational tech platforms.

  • Build Meaningful Relationships: Foster strong, trusting relationships with students to build academic confidence, engagement, and a positive mindset toward math.

  • Collaborate with Educators: Partner closely with classroom teachers and school administrators to align tutoring with classroom instruction.

  • Engage in Professional Growth: Participate in daily planning sessions, 1-on-1 coaching, and structured professional development (up to 72 hours per year).

  • Maintain Service Commitments: Complete required service hours over the course of the school year.

Qualifications & Eligibility Requirements
  • Education: Current enrollment in, prior enrollment in, or completion of an associate degree or higher.

  • Math Proficiency: Proficiency in foundational math concepts to guide students in understanding and mastering grade-level mathematical principles.

  • Language Skills: English proficiency required; Spanish proficiency preferred.

  • Experience & Mindset: Experience working with youth, tutoring, or mentoring preferred. Candidates must demonstrate a belief that all students can succeed, an entrepreneurial spirit, and an openness to feedback and ongoing growth.

  • Technical Skills: Ability to learn and use Google Suite and educational technology platforms for communication, spreadsheet data entry/analysis, and progress monitoring.

  • Work Eligibility & Requirements: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and age 18 . Must have access to reliable transportation and be able to commit to the assigned school schedule for the full term of service.

  • Background Check: Must successfully clear pre-employment background screenings for Blueprint and partner districts prior to training.

Blueprint Schools Network Benefits
  • Built-in Planning & Breaks: Daily planning/preparation time built into your schedule, plus a 30-minute duty-free lunch.

  • Paid Time Off: Sick leave and personal leave.

  • Professional Growth: 1-on-1 coaching, ongoing feedback, and real-world experience valued across education and mission-driven careers.

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Fellows enrolled in Blueprint’s medical plan receive 24/7/365 no-cost confidential mental health, financial, legal, and work-life support (via phone, app, or portal through All One Health, MDLIVE, and Talkspace), along with monthly interactive orientation sessions.

  • Pre-Tax Commuter Savings: Save up to 30% on public transit, parking, and vanpooling expenses via payroll deductions.
